Marathon Collage

Seattle Marathon happens in the last Sunday of November every year, where several thousand runners take part. For successful photography of events of this kind, it is important to find a good vantage point from where you can shoot. I found a bridge over the marathon path as a convenient location for me and my camera.

Usually you take pictures facing the runners, but for something different, I decided to face their back and took a bunch of pictures in quick succession (about 1 second apart). Here what you are seeing is a collage created from five of those pictures.

Below is another collage, of more conventional style as a combination of five rectangular frames.
